Our review
We knew from the community that The Void had raised the bar dangerously with Tahicardia, but the rumors about Coven promised an entirely different experience: a haunted cabin, authentic occultism, and a reputation as a terribly hard room. We gathered our courage and set out to see if the legends online held up. The premise starts classic, with a group of curious people stepping into an abandoned house with murky origins, but from the second the door closed behind us, we realized we were caught in a ritual you don't escape from just by finding a few keys in drawers.

Story & Setting
The scenario is wrapped in a dense theme of witchcraft and pagan mystery, without ever feeling forced or cliché. You don't get many explanatory sheets; you live the story through every object you touch and every whisper that drifts from who knows where. The universe has a rare coherence: everything you discover along the way justifies the presence of occult forces and turns the escape mission into a continuous struggle to understand what entity is breathing down your neck.
Puzzles & Gameplay
Coven is, without a doubt, the hardest room The Void has created so far. We're talking impeccable automations, physical interactions with the decor, and mechanisms that put all your senses to work. The structure is heavily non-linear, offering total freedom of exploration that can overwhelm you quickly. We played as a duo and felt the pace at maximum capacity: the large volume of challenges leaves you no second to breathe, and impeccable communication is the only chance not to get stuck trying to figure out where to act.
Atmosphere & Immersion
If we had to award a single chapter, the decor and sound ambiance would take the trophy without appeal. The sound design is probably the best we've ever heard in an escape room: the sounds are so spatial, organic, and frightening that you catch yourself looking around tensely. The scenography looks impeccable, and the greatest merit is that the game doesn't resort to cheap jump scares. The tension is refined, claustrophobic, and oppressive, clearly surpassing the Tahicardia experience when it comes to artistic refinement.
What We Loved
  • ✓Absolutely phenomenal soundtrack and audio effects, at cinema level
  • ✓Impeccably crafted tactile decor
  • ✓Genuine tension built with maturity
Areas for Improvement
  • !The non-linear structure and massive volume of tasks put huge pressure on small teams
  • !There are moments with less intuitive progression where you risk losing minutes searching for the right direction
Final Verdict
The Coven is a masterpiece of the horror-mystery genre and a true escape room for veterans who want fine mechanics and adrenaline. It's the kind of room that gives you reasons to talk about it long after you've left. Put it urgently at the top of your priority list, especially if Halloween season catches you!
