Even if the storyline isn't overly complex, both long-time fans and people who hear about mutants for the first time will get a unique adventure here. Of course it helps if you already know the universe, and you'll definitely giggle with excitement whenever you recognize legendary details from the X-Men lore inside the room. And that's before you even start interacting with them!
The game isn’t entirely linear, but once you understand where to begin everything flows nicely. Our group struggled at first. We hit minor technical issues—these happen sometimes—and our own lack of attention kept us stuck until we finally asked for a hint. Everything that followed erased any hint of disappointment after that slow start. The flow clicked, the downtime vanished, and the puzzles had logical threads that, to our joy, actually featured gadgets straight from the X-Men universe.
Lots of “woooow this is awesome” moments from start to finish. I was skeptical when I read about the room being 100% automated, but here as well we were pleasantly surprised. Tip: move fast, you’ll want to catch that finale!
