Our review
We did our homework and knew from online that The Amulet is a serious challenge. With high difficulty and 90 minutes at our disposal, we trained with other rooms beforehand, to make sure we could handle it.
We quickly realized that the difficulty came from the fact that we often 'lost' time being fascinated by some decor element, enjoying like kids some interaction, seriously laughing at the sound effects or being stuck in amazement when something unlocked…. (no spoilers, though I'm burning to tell you how awesome it is!)

Story & Setting
The Amulet from Lockedup is a room where the story has a dual role: it introduces you to the legendary atmosphere and, especially, offers you the main clue for the grand finale. The decor is sensational! I don't want to give spoilers, but there are so many things to see, touch and listen to that you feel like you're on an expensive movie set. It's a 'rich' room where you quickly go from 'sure there's something here!' to a sincere 'come on, I can't believe how cool this is!'.
Puzzles & Gameplay
You'll think 90 minutes is plenty, but the volume of challenges matches it. Enjoy the room, but don't forget the mission! There are many unique puzzles that push you to do things rarely encountered in an escape room, but the difficulty never becomes exaggerated or frustrating. It's the perfect blend between challenge and fun.
Atmosphere & Immersion
I can't fully convey how much we enjoyed exploring the room. From the moment we entered, everything made sense and was part of the story. The dedication of Lockedup is admirable, investing resources to make even the delivery of hints an automated experience and completely part of the decor. The atmosphere constantly changes as you progress, from amusement to adrenaline, but the enthusiasm remains at maximum levels until the end.

- !We needed explanations regarding a more obscure puzzle that we solved half by guessing

Yes, as many people say, The Amulet is a room that deserves all its awards. It's pure fun on all fronts. If you're a beginner, train a bit beforehand so you can enjoy the experience smoothly, without having your eyes only on the timer.
