Even though the puzzles aren't 100% connected to the narrative thread, we didn't see it as a problem. The gameplay is linear, and the room's completely automated special effects help you understand where you need to focus. Appreciate that darkness!.
You'll also encounter puzzles here that will require physical dexterity. You don't have to be good at push-ups, but one of you will sacrifice themselves to go through narrow spaces. We were 4 and honestly, there were moments when only 2 people were actively working on the current puzzle. We clearly don't recommend the room with more than that. The difficulty is balanced for the allocated time, with some mechanisms we haven't encountered anywhere else.
If it wasn't already clear, the atmosphere is the room's strong point. You really feel a shiver throughout the game. It's a horror room, so yes, you'll have uncomfortable moments and jump scares, but that's what you signed up for, right?
The only downside that didn't let us fully enjoy the room was.. safety. We had to be much more careful than usual with sharp decor elements or metal objects you could injure yourself on. If you've been to an escape room before, you know the classic request not to force the decor, not to interact with objects with stickers. Here however it's really serious business, you need increased attention and especially no bad jokes between teammates in the dark, even though it's very tempting! Clearly this is not a room for children.
ⓘ Currently we use a custom image for presenting the room in the review. If you are from
The void and would like to replace it with the official artwork,
give us a sign and we can sort it out.
