Our review
The premise for Tahicardia is so classic that it's impossible not to be familiar with it, even if you're not a big horror fan. A group of young people decides to explore an abandoned urban building, which hides numerous surprises among its dark corridors. Why would you do that, you ask? Simple: for an adrenaline rush.

Story & Setting
For us, this was the first truly horror room we dared to try. The disclaimers on the website, that creepy background music when we made the reservation, everything amplified the experience even before we arrived at The Void. Expectations were set clearly. Once inside, we instantly understood why these guys are so praised. Predominant darkness, rusted metal, a claustrophobic pressure. If at a normal room you can't wait to search everywhere hoping to find a key under a press, here you didn't want to touch anything. And those at The Void knew this and made sure that for some puzzles you're really pushed to get out of your comfort zone.
Puzzles & Gameplay
Even though the puzzles aren't 100% connected to the narrative thread, we didn't see it as a problem. The gameplay is linear, and the room's completely automated special effects help you understand where you need to focus. Appreciate that darkness!. You'll also encounter puzzles here that will require physical dexterity. You don't have to be good at push-ups, but one of you will sacrifice themselves to go through narrow spaces. We were 4 and honestly, there were moments when only 2 people were actively working on the current puzzle. We clearly don't recommend the room with more than that. The difficulty is balanced for the allocated time, with some mechanisms we haven't encountered anywhere else.
Atmosphere & Immersion
If it wasn't already clear, the atmosphere is the room's strong point. You really feel a shiver throughout the game. It's a horror room, so yes, you'll have uncomfortable moments and jump scares, but that's what you signed up for, right? The only downside that didn't let us fully enjoy the room was.. safety. We had to be much more careful than usual with sharp decor elements or metal objects you could injure yourself on. If you've been to an escape room before, you know the classic request not to force the decor, not to interact with objects with stickers. Here however it's really serious business, you need increased attention and especially no bad jokes between teammates in the dark, even though it's very tempting! Clearly this is not a room for children.
What We Loved
  • Brilliant atmosphere
  • Unique puzzles
  • Perfect difficulty for the allocated time
  • Horror, but accessible for everyone
Areas for Improvement
  • !Acceptable for a horror room, but I would mention the narrow spaces
  • !Some decor elements can cause accidents
Final Verdict
Even with the small objections related to safety, we can't deny that Tahicardia from The void is an ideal horror room for genre enthusiasts, but also for those more hesitant about horror. Logical puzzles, mysterious atmosphere, perfect difficulty just enough to make you fear until the last moment that you won't end up there like characters in a horror movie. We'll clearly come back for the other rooms!
