Story & Setting
What do you do after trying A Stolen Miracle from Troll Escape Rooms? Obviously, you go directly to see the second room too! And Steampunk Chronicles doesn't disappoint at all. The Troll team has kept its promise to create a unique experience here too, full of passion and attention to detail. As its name suggests, the room transports you into a spectacular steampunk universe, a workshop full of machinery, tools and fascinating mechanisms, where every object seems to have its own story. The decor is solid, coherent and makes you feel like you've stepped into another era.
Puzzles & Gameplay
The puzzles are perfectly integrated into the steampunk theme and contribute to the story thread. We liked them a lot because they don't just boil down to codes or combinations, but here you interact with devices, mechanical pieces and inventions that come to life before your eyes. Electronic and mechanical elements (like in a real steampunk universe) are also used with great creativity and you're 2 seconds away from believing you've turned into a mad inventor. The difficulty level is medium to high, enough to keep you focused, and the room gets some bonus points for automation and linearity.
Atmosphere & Immersion
For us, a good room is one that absorbs you into the story from the first seconds, and Steampunk Chronicles achieves this perfectly. The decor is impressive, from the objects in the room to the carefully chosen textures, lights and sounds. Everything contributes to the feeling that you're in a 19th century laboratory, full of mystery and impossible inventions. The atmosphere is coherent and very well built, which makes immersion total.

Just like in A Stolen Miracle, the Troll Escape Rooms team demonstrates once again that they know how to create top rooms. Steampunk Chronicles combines an interesting story with original puzzles and spectacular decor, transforming the 60 minutes of play into an authentic adventure.
