Story & Setting
Finding an escape room that combines an authentic horror scenario with intelligent puzzles is not easy at all. However, 'Cabin in the Woods' succeeds surprisingly well! Although you won't experience extreme moments (no one jumps out of walls, we promise), the room manages to keep you in tension from beginning to end, through its story. The atmosphere is very well built, and the play of lights and sounds makes you feel truly lost in an isolated cabin in the middle of the forest.
Puzzles & Gameplay
The puzzles are carefully linked to the story, and each step makes you explore the cabin's mystery deeper. Interaction with old, strange objects and unexpected mechanisms contributes perfectly to the feeling of curiosity and unease (you'll somehow feel like you're always being watched). The difficulty level is medium to high – requires attention, logic and good team communication. We also give a bonus point for how hints are offered: subtle, natural, without breaking immersion.
Atmosphere & Immersion
Here, the Inside Rooms team confirms its reputation. The decor is very well done, full of details that give you the feeling that certain elements could come to life at any moment. The sounds, lights and textures blend perfectly, creating a good balance in the story. What we liked most? The fact that the game manages to captivate you intelligently – without cheap jump scares, just with well-built tension.
